Violent Grace: A Retrospective 

This 230-page hardcover monograph (left) contains over 200 images of paintings by Edward Knippers, spanning from the 1960s to the present. Supporting essays by eminent scholars and theologians of note: Howard N. Fox, Gregory Wolfe, Theodore Prescott, John Walford, William Dyrness, Timothy Verdon, and Roberta Green Ahmanson have also been included.

The deluxe edition of Violent Grace (below) is in a limited edition of 50. Each book is accompanied by an original signed and numbered woodcut print, designed, cut, and printed by the artist and is housed in an Italian linen slipcase.

The collector’s edition of Violent Grace (above) is in a limited edition of 50. Each comes with an original 14” X 11” painting on panel by the artist, and is housed in an Italian linen clamshell presentation box. The paintings for the Collector’s Edition are narratives from the Old and New Testaments, collectively conceived of as a predella of the faith.
