Art for Sale

Since the beginning of Square Halo Books (with the publication of The End), beauty has been at the heart of what we do. Below is artwork from Square Halo titles or by artists who have been part of our books. If there are pieces that you would like to add to your collection, contact us using the form at the bottom of the page.

The Beginning: A Linocut Portfolio

In conjunction with The Beginning: A Second Look at the First Sin, a portfolio of linocuts was pulled. There are ten in the edition and three available for purchase ($300.00 per portfolio). All images in The Beginning are linoleum cuts, hand printed by Ned Bustard and Matthew Clark using the etching press in Richard Gaston’s historic downtown studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. An edition of ten prints was pulled from each of the designs in the portfolio. The artists included in this effort are, in alphabetical order: Chara Bauer, Ned Bustard, Tanja Butler, Matthew Clark, Tyrus Clutter, Edward Knippers.

And Such Were You

For the second edition of It Was Good, Ned Bustard and Matthew Clark created a woodcut titled And Such Were You. An edition of 30 were pulled at Messiah College during the summer of 2007.

In Christian art, the square halo identified a living person presumed to be
a saint. Square Halo Books is devoted to publishing works that present
contextually sensitive biblical studies, and practical instruction consistent
with the Doctrines of the Reformation. The goal of Square Halo Books is
to provide materials useful for encouraging and equipping the saints.
